‘Beenie on Escalators’ - January submission for the The Sunday Times “Photo2012” Competition. “This year is going to be all about London. With the Olympics, the Paralympics, and the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee all taking place in the next 12 months, 2012 will be a spectacular, and memorable, one for the capital. To reflect this, we are looking for photographs that celebrate London in all its diversity. From a sunrise above the Thames to a knees-up in an East End pub, how you interpret that is up to you.” The competition runs from January 1 until July 31. Each month I will be submitting a new photo.
